Flight Limitations
Even though we are FAA Part 107 licensed, there are still limitations on flight. Unlike a regular aircraft, our drone can not fly in rain, falling snow, hail or extreme winds over 15-20mph. This is obviously due to the risk of damaging the drone and our equipment. If requested to fly and any of these conditions exist on that scheduled day or time, a reschedule day will have to be set.

Additionally, we must follow all FAA controlled airspace rules and regulations. This is why on our forms, such as on the "downed game recovery page", we ask for the address or grid of where the search is to take place. Once the form is submitted, we will immediately check sectional charts to see if that airspace is controlled, restricted or open. Certain airspace, such as Fort McCoy or Volk Field is restricted airspace that we can not get access to fly. Other airspace, such as in La Crosse airport is controlled airspace which we can fly, but we must first get permission. This can take from a few minutes to hours or days. We are at the mercy of the FAA at that point. Below is three examples of controlled or restricted air space. These include La Crosse airport, Fort McCoy and Volk Field. So please, to ensure the fastest service, have an address or a grid coordinate ready when requesting a services.
